Proposal:
Alterations to the boundary wall that separates the land of the The Clock House and The Lodge (Grade II Listed). The existing wall is a 9' brick wall approximately 2770mm high and approximately 12m long with a lean of up to 240mm over its full height. The wall is unstable and requires strengthening. Proposed works: Installation of 4No. vertical piers on the land of The Clock House to provide lateral restraint for the existing leaning boundary wall. Piers to be bolted through the wall and secured by steel plates visible on the side of The Lodge. The installation of 8No. helical bars across two areas of cracking to reinstate the structural integrity of the wall. To rebuild a section of partially collapsed wall, reusing the displaced brickwork where possible and to incorporate additional materials/brickwork where required which will be sympathetic to the original materials used in the construction of the wall.
